SDC: The World's Largest Swinging Community

SDC is more than a members directory. It's where many couples and singles discover clubs, events, holidays and a global community that extends far beyond online messaging.
Whether you're looking to meet people locally, planning a trip to Gran Canaria, or simply exploring swinging for the first time, SDC helps you build connections before you meet in person.
Used by couples, singles, clubs and lifestyle events around the world.

GETTING STARTED
SOCIAL & COMMUNITY
OUR VERDICT
01. Why People Choose SDC
Most people don't join SDC because they're looking for another dating site. They join because they want to become part of a much bigger lifestyle community.
While messaging and profiles are important, they're only part of the experience. SDC also connects people with clubs, events, holidays and destinations, making it as useful for planning your next trip as it is for meeting people locally.
For many members, it becomes the platform they return to throughout the year, whether they're arranging a weekend away, seeing who's travelling to Gran Canaria, or simply keeping in touch with people they've met before.

A Platform Built Around the Lifestyle
Unlike platforms that focus mainly on local matches, SDC has developed around the wider lifestyle.
Use it to discover clubs, browse events, plan trips, share travel dates and connect with people before you arrive, particularly valuable if you travel or visit swinging destinations regularly.

More Than Online Conversations
Many connections on SDC begin online but continue in person.
You might recognise someone from an event, reconnect with friends before a holiday, or arrange to meet for a drink while travelling. The platform works best when it's used alongside the real-world lifestyle rather than instead of it.
02. What Makes SDC Different?
Most swinging platforms help you meet people. SDC goes further, connecting you with the wider lifestyle itself: travel planning, clubs, events and destination guides, all inside one platform.
Travel Tools
See who's visiting a destination before you arrive, share your own travel dates and start conversations ahead of a trip.
Clubs & Events
Thousands of clubs and organisers use SDC to promote events, so you can discover what's on nearby or wherever you're travelling.
International Reach
Members and events all over the world, not just one country, useful at home and just as useful abroad.
Our View
The biggest difference isn't any single feature. It's that SDC brings together the online and real-world lifestyle in a way very few other platforms manage.
03. Who SDC Works Best For
SDC isn't the right platform for everyone, and that's one of its strengths.
It works best if you enjoy exploring the wider lifestyle rather than simply browsing local profiles. Travel regularly, enjoy clubs and events, or like meeting people from different countries? You'll probably get far more from SDC than from a platform built around local introductions.
CONNECTIONS
Expanding Your Social Circle
You might join SDC to meet like-minded people beyond your immediate area. New to the swinging lifestyle or just want to broaden your circle? It's easier here to build genuine connections both online and in person.
COMMUNITY
An Active Lifestyle Community
Enjoy clubs, events and being part of a community rather than just exchanging messages? You'll find plenty to get involved with. Many members use SDC throughout the year, not just when they're looking to meet someone new, and you'll probably find yourself doing the same.
TRAVEL
Planning Swinger Holidays
SDC really comes into its own once you travel. Heading to Gran Canaria, Cap d'Agde, Mexico or the Netherlands? See who's visiting, discover local events and start conversations before you arrive.
DISCOVERY
Ready to Explore More
Feeling like you've outgrown purely local platforms? This is usually where you look next: new destinations, different clubs, events, and more of what the lifestyle has to offer.
Thinking SDC sounds like a good fit?
Create a free account and explore the community before deciding whether a membership is right for you.
04. Why Many People Eventually Look Beyond Free Platforms
Free platforms can be an excellent place to start, and for many people they're all they'll ever need. As your interests change, though, whether that's travelling more, visiting clubs and events, or wanting a wider international community, this is where platforms like SDC start to offer something genuinely different.
You might not appreciate the value of SDC until you start travelling. Seeing who's visiting the same destination, discovering local clubs and events, and arranging to meet people before you arrive can completely change a trip. It's also where SDC pulls ahead of most free, locally-focused platforms: once you've met the active members near you, there's less reason to stay, whereas SDC's international community keeps giving you somewhere new to look.
"Free platforms and paid platforms aren't really competitors. They often suit different stages of the same journey."

05. How People Actually Use SDC
You'll probably join expecting SDC to be a messaging platform. Most people discover they use it for much more than that.
Messaging still matters, but you'll likely find yourself gradually using SDC to plan trips, discover clubs, follow events and stay in touch with people you've met along the way.
Meeting People Locally
SDC often begins close to home. Browse local profiles, exchange messages and arrange to meet for a drink or a club visit. It's usually your first step into the local swinging community.

Planning Your Next Trip
One of SDC's biggest strengths is how easily it supports travel.
Check who's visiting Gran Canaria, Cap d'Agde or another destination long before you book flights. You may already have conversations started by the time you arrive. Put a travel plan into SDC and it shows you everybody who'll be there at the same time as you.
Discovering Clubs & Events
SDC is closely connected to clubs, parties and organised events worldwide, so instead of searching for venues separately, you can browse listings and decide what to visit.
Staying Connected
SDC becomes the place you keep in touch between trips. Friends you make at clubs, resorts and holidays don't disappear when everyone goes home. Reconnect before the next event or destination.
Our View
The longer you use SDC, the more it becomes part of how you enjoy the lifestyle together.
06. Using SDC Before You Travel
One of SDC's biggest advantages is that your trip can begin long before you board the plane.
Start looking at a destination weeks or even months ahead, especially for cruises, which get booked early. Check who's visiting, browse local clubs and events, and start a few conversations before you arrive. Your first evening won't feel like the start of the holiday. It'll feel like picking up conversations you've already begun.
We've found that a swingers bar visit goes much better with a plan already in place. Say hello early to a couple you've already chatted with online, rather than just turning up and sitting in the corner, watching everyone while feeling shy and nervous.

See Who's Travelling
Plenty of destinations have a steady flow of members updating their travel plans.
Heading to Gran Canaria, Cap d'Agde, or a swingers resort? It's easy to see who else will be there at the same time as you.
Start Conversations Early
You don't need your whole holiday arranged before you arrive. Introduce yourself, exchange a few messages, and agree to meet for a drink, an afternoon on the beach or hello at a club if you're both free.
Keeping things flexible usually beats organising every evening in advance.
Discover The Local Scene
SDC also helps you understand what's happening at your destination, clubs, organised events, and local communities.
It gives you a much clearer picture before you arrive so you can decide how you want to spend your time.
Arrive Feeling Familiar
One of the nicest things about using SDC before a trip: you'll often recognise names or faces when you arrive.
That small familiarity can make a new destination feel far more welcoming, especially on a first visit.
Our View
If you travel frequently, this is where SDC really separates itself from platforms built mainly around local introductions.

Browse destinations, events and members before you travel.
07. The Reality of Using SDC
Like any lifestyle platform, SDC isn't perfect, and you'll enjoy it most if you arrive with realistic expectations.
Some conversations never lead anywhere. Not every profile replies, and not every destination is equally active. That's true of every platform. Understand what SDC does well, and use it in the way that suits you.
It Takes Time
Building genuine connections rarely happens overnight.
You might get replies quickly, or take a little longer to find people you click with, either is normal. Be patient, complete your profile properly, and give yourself time to become part of the community. If someone doesn't reply, don't take it personally: plenty of profiles are genuine but simply no longer active.
Your Experience Depends On How You Use It
Log in once, send a handful of messages, and you might wonder what all the fuss is about. Join discussions, plan trips, visit clubs and attend events, and you'll likely have a very different experience.
What you get back usually reflects what you put in.
Not Every Area Is Equally Active
Activity varies depending on where you live and where you travel.
Some cities and destinations have thriving communities; quieter areas naturally have fewer active members.
Travel regularly, and you'll find far more opportunities than searching only close to home.
Quality Over Quantity
It's tempting to focus on how many messages you send or receive.
In reality, one genuine connection is worth far more than dozens of conversations that go nowhere.
Take the time to build rapport and you'll have a much better experience.
Our View
SDC rewards patience. You'll get the most from it if you treat it as a community to be part of, not a catalogue of profiles to browse.
"The best evenings are rarely the ones you planned."
08. Why We Keep Recommending SDC
After using SDC for years, these are the things we think it does particularly well.
No platform is perfect, but SDC has a combination of strengths that keeps bringing us back, especially when we're travelling or planning future trips.

COMMUNITY
A Truly International Community
Whether you're at home or travelling abroad, SDC makes it easy to connect with people across Europe and beyond, one of the biggest differences between SDC and locally-focused platforms.

TRAVEL
Built For Lifestyle Travel
Very few platforms make travelling as easy as SDC.
Seeing who's visiting a destination, discovering clubs and events, and starting conversations before you arrive can genuinely change the way you experience lifestyle travel.

EVENTS
Excellent Clubs & Event Integration
From local clubs to international takeovers and resort events, SDC stays closely connected to the real-world lifestyle.
So instead of searching multiple websites, you can usually find everything in one place.

JOURNEY
It Grows With You
You might join SDC to meet other couples or singles, but over time you'll probably find yourself using it just as much for travel, clubs, holidays and keeping in touch with friends you've met along the way.
That's a big part of why so many members stick around for years.

09. Where SDC Still Falls Short
No platform is perfect, and SDC is no exception.
Most of these aren't deal-breakers, but they're worth understanding before you join. Knowing what to expect usually leads to a much better experience.
Some Areas Are Busier Than Others
SDC has a strong international community, but activity varies by location.
Live in a large city or travel regularly and you'll find plenty of members. In quieter areas, you may need to broaden your search or travel a little further.
The Platform Can Feel Dated
SDC offers an enormous number of features, but that means the interface isn't always as modern as newer platforms.
You'll find your way around quickly, but expect a small learning curve at first.
The Single Male Balance
Like most lifestyle communities, single men usually outnumber couples in many regions.
SDC gives couples plenty of filtering and control over who can contact them, but the overall balance is something no platform can fully change.
Better Platform - Same Human Nature
SDC makes it easier to discover people, events, clubs and communities.
It doesn't change the fact that attraction is personal, and not every introduction becomes a friendship. The platform creates opportunities; what happens next is down to the people involved.
Our View
None of this would stop us recommending SDC. They're simply the trade-offs that come with a mature platform offering far more than just messaging.
10. Is SDC Worth Paying For?
The free trial is a good way to explore SDC. Once it ends, though, you'll quickly discover that most of the platform's key features need a membership.
That's a deliberate choice by SDC. The trial lets you experience the community, but if you want to message members, browse profiles properly, use travel planning tools and access the features that make SDC worthwhile, you'll need to subscribe.
SDC offers both free and paid memberships. A standard 1-month membership is around £26, though SDC typically adds a second month free, working out at roughly £13 a month if you use the full two months. Pricing varies a little by region and membership type. Single men usually pay a bit more than couples, so check the exact price on your own account before joining.
Use The Free Trial Properly
The trial works differently depending on who you are, so it's worth knowing that before you start.
If you're a single man, the trial gives you very limited access. You can look around, but you can't message people properly. Give SDC a fair test and expect to pay for at least a month. Without paying, it's very unlikely to work for you at all.
If you're a couple, you're shown as a full member for about a week. That's genuinely useful: full members can see and message you properly during that time. But a week goes fast. Set up your profile, look around, and start messaging, and you may find the week's up before you've had a real chance to make contact. Move quickly, or consider paying early to keep that access going while you get established.
Most Of The Value Is Behind The Paywall
Once your trial ends, SDC becomes far more limited. Messaging, full profile access and travel tools, the features that make the platform stand out, all need a paid membership. If you're planning to use SDC regularly, factor that in from the start.
Give Yourself Time To Get Established
A new profile looks like a new profile, whichever platform you're on. It takes a little time to complete yours properly, get a few conversations going and start feeling like an established member rather than someone who just signed up.
Commit to at least a few months and you'll likely have a noticeably different experience than if you pay for a single month and expect instant results.
Give SDC a proper run rather than judging it after your first week.
Frequent Travellers & Active Members Get the Best Value
Travel regularly, visit clubs, attend events or enjoy meeting people in different countries? You're likely to get the most from SDC (our guide to Meeting People Online Before You Meet can help).
Log in only occasionally or never travel, and the subscription may be harder to justify.
Our verdict
Think long term, and don't judge SDC purely on the monthly cost. If it helps you make better trips, discover new venues and build lasting friendships, it can be excellent value. If you'll only use it once or twice a year, it may not be.

11. SDC vs Other Platforms
No single platform is perfect for everyone. The best choice depends on how you use the lifestyle.
Some people are happiest on a local community platform. Others travel regularly, attend events or enjoy meeting people from different countries. That's why we've created dedicated comparison guides rather than trying to cover everything on this page.
If you're comparing all your options, see our guide to the main FabSwingers alternatives.
FabSwingers
SDC vs FabSwingers
FabSwingers has one of the strongest UK communities and an active forum culture, while SDC focuses much more on international travel, events and swinging destinations.
SpicyMatch
SDC vs SpicyMatch
SpicyMatch has built a younger, event-focused community, while SDC offers a broader international network with stronger travel tools and destination features.
SLS
SDC vs SLS
Both platforms have an international audience, but each has developed slightly different strengths depending on where you travel and the type of events you enjoy.
Feeld
SDC vs Feeld
Feeld is aimed at a much broader ethically non-monogamous audience, while SDC is designed specifically around the lifestyle community, clubs and events.
Our View
We don't think of these as competing platforms. Many experienced members use more than one, depending on where they live, how often they travel and what they're looking for.
Still not sure? Our Platform Comparison Hub explains which platform suits different types of members, travellers and lifestyle experiences.
12. Our Tips for Better Results on SDC
A few small changes can make a big difference to your experience on SDC.
The members who enjoy the platform most aren't necessarily the ones who send the most messages. They're usually the ones who complete their profile properly, stay active and use SDC as more than just a messaging app.
Complete Your Profile Properly
Give people something to respond to. A profile with a few photos and a thoughtful introduction is far more likely to attract interest than one with little information.
Talk about yourselves, your interests and what you're looking for. Authentic profiles usually receive much better responses than generic ones.
Take Your Time
Build conversations naturally. You don't need to message dozens of people on your first day.
A few genuine conversations are usually far more rewarding than sending the same message to lots of members. Focus on quality rather than quantity. Also, be aware of how to look after your own privacy - our guide called Privacy & Discretion may be helpful.
Use the Travel Features
Don't wait until you arrive. If you're planning a trip, start looking before you travel.
Checking who's visiting the same destination, browsing local clubs and starting a few conversations in advance can make your first evening feel much more relaxed. If you're heading to Gran Canaria or Cap d'Agde, it's one of the easiest ways to break the ice before you arrive.

Explore the Platform
There's more than messaging. Many new members never look beyond the inbox.
Spend a little time exploring clubs, events, travel plans and destination pages. These are some of the features that make SDC different from many other lifestyle platforms.
13. Our Experience With SDC
We've used SDC for many years, and it's become one of the few platforms we keep coming back to.
What started as a way to meet people gradually became something much more useful. Today, we use SDC just as often to plan trips, discover clubs and see who's travelling as we do to browse local profiles.
It's Changed The Way We Travel
Before booking somewhere like Gran Canaria, we'll usually check who's travelling, see what events are happening, and get a feel for how active the destination will be. Arriving already knowing a few names makes the whole trip feel more relaxed.
It's About More Than Meeting People
Some of the best things about SDC have had nothing to do with meeting someone for the first time.
We've met so many great people through SDC that we probably have more SDC friends now than conventional ones. We call them our "horizontal friends," as opposed to our "vertical friends."
We've adjusted trip dates just to overlap with good friends for a few days. We once changed location entirely, just to finally reconnect with a couple we kept missing.

Why We Still Recommend It
No platform suits everyone, and SDC certainly isn't perfect. But if you enjoy travelling, visiting clubs, and becoming part of a wider international community, we've yet to find another platform that brings those things together as well.
Our Final Thoughts
We don't think SDC is successful because it has the most features. We think it's successful because it encourages people to get out into the real world and enjoy the lifestyle beyond the screen.

The easiest way to understand SDC is to spend a few days exploring the community.
